MARTA RAY, rescued at sea by a gruff and grim-looking ship captain who grew up in a whaling town, has never liked the inhabitants of the sea. Marta lives with her mother in an old decaying ship store, servants to the owner and lighthouse keeper.
Her life was about to change after making a dark-magic wish thrown into the sea. The wish came with a price, and in the darkness of night, a peculiar visitor came to the whaling town, and mysterious storm would change her life forever.
